Returning to the United States after a dominant tour in New Zealand, Jonathan Allard scored a 14th place finish at the Perris Auto Speedway with the World of Outlaws on Saturday night.
The night got off to a rocky start for JA, and unfortunately it never turned around for the Chico, CA driver.
With 26 cars checked into the pit area, JA timed in with the 17th fastest lap of the night.
Lining up sixth in his heat, Allard would move up to the fifth spot and transfer to the 30-lap feature event where he would start in the 16th spot.
While lining up for the feature, Allard was forced into the pits with a fuel issue, but luckily the Zero Hero’s were able to make the quick fix and get Jonathan back on the track, but it would be from the back of the field.
While moving up through the field, Allard got collected in a minor spin, but would again line his Williams Motorsports machine up in the back of the field.
Back underway, JA put his mount on the tip top of the speedway and rode the cushion all the way up to a 14th place finish.
“It’s nice to be back with my guys, and back home,” said Allard. “We had a good car tonight, but going to the back twice, and on a track where there’s not much passing is tough. We’ll be back at it next weekend and hopefully with a couple of better finishes.”
ON TAP: Allard and the Williams Motorpsorts team will be in action again next weekend with the World of Outlaws at the Thunderbowl in Tulare, CA.
