SYRACUSE, NY – In a major sponsorship announcement, the Parent family and Le Groupe Ultra has now become the title sponsor of the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints’ (ESS) Canadian Series. Called the Tour of Canada, teams will once again be vying for a lucrative point fund at events in the series.
Le Groupe Ultra will be replacing Northwood 2 Construction/Lasalle Motorsports as the title sponsor although Lori and Mike Lasalle will still be a part of the ESS sponsorship family.
“We of course would like to thank Lori and Mike for their tremendous support over the years and are honored that they will still be a part of ESS. They are like family to us.” said ESS President Chuck Miller. “The Parent’s were looking to increase their involvement and when the Lasalle’s wanted to take a smaller role this fit in perfect. A very unique logo that incorporates both the Canadian and Quebec flags was designed and we hope the new agreement works for both.”
Full point events held at Autodrome’s Granby and Drummond, Le RPM Speedway, Merrittville Speedway and Mohawk International Raceway will count towards the Tour of Canada. Also, show up points will be awarded at the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals at the Ohsweken Speedway and the first ever Can-Am Challenge at Granby.
Along with several associate sponsors, the point fund that will be handed out at the annual awards banquet to the top 15 in the Canadian points will be hefty.
