KNOXVILLE, IOWA (May 10, 2012) – The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum will be taking it’s Eagle Motorsports/Don Ott Racing Engines number 9 raffle (sprint) car to the Upper Midwest on May 18-19 with stops at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa, on Friday and Fairmont Raceway in Minnesota on Saturday. The car will also be out front of The State Bank of Fairmont on Saturday afternoon, May 19, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
According to museum special events coordinator David Herrmann, “We are excited to be taking the state-of-the-art winged Eagle/Ott 410-cubic-inch sprint car to some different and historic venues. We are especially excited about the opportunity to display the car at The State Bank of Fairmont on Saturday afternoon in advance of Fairmont Speedway’s Tow Distributing-sponsored ‘Return of the Thunder’ JSTS-sanctioned sprint car race that evening. I believe it is the first time in a decade that championship sprints have run there.”
