CONCORD, N.C. – May 31, 2012 – This week’s episode of 4-Wide Weekly highlights tracks littered around the Eastern and Great Lakes regions of the United States. From NASCAR country to coal country, watch as we highlight all of this past week’s action in less than 15 minutes.

See the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series tackle the tough 4/10-mile oval at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, NC. The first nationally televised race of the season did not disappoint on action or superstars, as World of Outlaws regulars had to hold off NASCAR greats including Kasey Kahne and Tony Stewart to earn the top spot. The full capacity crowd saw Joey Saldana come from his fourth starting spot to capture the lead and the win, breaking a six week winless streak. The next stop for the World of Outlaw Sprints took us to Lawrenceburg, IN for the first time since 2009. One of the hottest races of the year featured a side-by-side battle between series regulars Chad Kemenah and Kraig Kinser. A late race caution added an interesting twist to the battle, allowing Kemenah to get a great restart on the inside and propel himself to his second win of the season. We have all that action plus more right here at 4Wide.TV!

The World of Outlaws Late Models travelled north to the buckeye state on Friday night as the series took on the Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, OH. It was Darrell Lanigan who made the trip to victory lane, continuing to stretch out his point lead. The Outlaws then packed up and headed down to coal country, West Virginia for events at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV and I-77 Raceway Park in Ripley, WV. Watch as Darrell Lanigan picks up his second consecutive win and fourth of the season at Tyler County Speedway. Lanigan held off the field, and a hard charging Brandon Sheppard, on a late race caution after taking the lead on lap 17 and dominating the race. The series packed up and headed to nearby I-77 Raceway the following night for Ripley Race Fest. Chris Garnes pulled off a big upset in true underdog fashion by leading 47 of the 50 lap A-main at his home track. Beating the “Goliaths” of the touring series, this “David” proved why hard work, and a little luck, pays off by collecting the $10,550 pay off. Click here to check out all the latest highlights!

We wrap up this week’s race coverage with the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds from Rolling Wheels Raceway Park in Elbridge, N.Y. for DIRTcar All-Star Weekend. An action packed Sunday night A-Main concluded the All-Star Weekend, which saw Matt Sheppard pick up his first win of the season in a close battle with pole-sitter Billy Decker. The big 5/8-mile oval saw a lot of green flag racing, but it was a caution and the ensuing restart on lap 21 that gave way for a patient Sheppard to surge to the lead and never look back.

We’ve got all the best highlights in dirt track racing, plus a look at the point standings for the World of Outlaws Sprints, Late Models, Super DIRTcar Series and the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds!
