. Cap Henry started on the pole and after a re-start for a Chris Andrews spin on the first lap, he set sail and was leading when an 9th lap yellow appeared for a Cris Andrews spin. As the green came out Brian Sebetto was pressuring Henry and Stevie Smith had moved into 3rd and looked ready to make a move.
By lap 15 it was still Henry, Sebetto, Stevie Smith, Danny Smith, Byron Reed and now Dean Jacobs. Also on 15 Tim Shaffer would light up the caution light after trouble in turn 4. He was done for the night. By the 19th circuit cars were making moves for position all over the track and Stevie Smith moved to 2nd and was closing on Henry who continued to lead.
Henry was still hanging on to the point at 25 with Smith and Sebetto chasing, and now Craig Mintz and Danny Hotlgraver had moved into the top five with Dale Blaney close behind. Lap 30 found Steve Smith ready to make his move as he tried to dive under Henry in turn one but made contact with Henry and Smith spun but kept going after losing several positions.
Now with 35 in the books, Cap Henry was thinking win but 10th place starting Danny Holtgraver was coming fast and was now 2nd. One lap later David Gravel flipped in turn four in front of Henry leaving him nowhere to go. Henry was able to join the field however, at the tail.
As the green came out for the final time, Holtgraver was up to the task and held on over Mintz, Sebetto, Stevie Smith, Blaney, Danny Smith and and great run by Brent Bowman after starting 24th. The big crowd was sympathetic for Henry after leading 36 but also glad for Holtgraver after a fine run.
41 cars entered tonight’s event. Heats were won by Travis Philo, Mike Linder, Caleb Helms and Dale Blaney. Cap Henry won the dash as Jody Keegan picked up the B main victory.
