NDC “SHAKEUP” FINDS CLAUSON BACK ON TOP

The USAC National Drivers Championship has taken on a new look after the seven-race “Indiana Sprint Week” which just concluded in the Hoosier state.

Two-time defending NDC king Bryan Clauson has returned to the top of the point list and has a 22-point lead over Levi Jones heading into three USAC National races this week.

Thursday’s J.D. Byrider presents the “Rich Vogler Classic” at Raceway Park in Indianapolis, Ind. showcases the USAC Traxxas Silver Crown Cars in the “J.D. Byrider 100” as well as the USAC Mopar National Midgets. The AMSOIL USAC Sprint cars do battle Saturday night in the NAPA Auto Parts “Summer Sprint Car Shootout” at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.

Clauson posted four podium finishes during the past two weeks of “Indiana Sprint Week” action, while Jones recorded “top-10” finishes in all seven ISW features!

Former NDC leaders Darren Hagen and Tracy Hines remain third and fourth respectively in the new standings, only 32 and 62 points in arrears.
