With the best in the business all gathered at the Knoxville Raceway for the 22ndAnnual Arnold Motors 360 Nationals, Seth Bergman had a frustrating weekend as he ended Saturday night seventh in the C main.
Qualifying on Friday night, Bergman timed his PPM/Corridor Electric/Superior Marine machine in 14th fastest with 52 cars on hand.
Starting in the second row of his heat race, Bergman slipped back to the sixth spot, missing the transfer into the feature event, and found himself in the middle of the B main event.
In the B, the Snohomish, WA driver lined up in the fourth row, and wasn’t able to get moving forward, as he battled with Scott Winters for the eighth spot.
Scoring a ninth place finish in the B, Bergman’s night was finished, and he was locked into the Saturday night C main event where he would be in the fourth row again.
Bergman’s woes continued as he wasn’t able to move forward on a very narrow track that didn’t allow for much passing.
Seth would pick up a couple spots as the race wore down, and ended his 360 Nationals with a seventh place C main finish.
“It wasn’t the weekend we hoped for, and to top it off we blew our 410 up on Sunday so now we will miss the 410 Nationals,” said Bergman. “No we will just hang out enjoy Knoxville, and get ready for next week.”
Bergman and his Pete Petersen Motorsports team would like to thank Superior Marine, Corridor Electric, Speedmart Inc, Eagle Chassis, ButlerBuilt, and 7 Industries for their support in 2012.
ON TAP: Bergman and his team will return to action on August 14th at the Humboldt Speedway.
