Hellertown, PA — (December 19, 2012) — Lance Dewease was not out of work for long after being released from Catoctin Motorsports. Dewease was named Wednesday as the new driver for Heffner racing for the 2013 season. Dewease and Heffner plan on starting in Georgia and FLorida before racing locally in Central Pennsylvania. the All Stars Eastern Series, select World of Outlaw events, and both the Knoxville 360 and 410 Nationals.
“Lance is a natural fit for our team. He knows the car, knows the engine builder and will be bringing his mechanic along, so there won’t be any big changes or too many different things to adapt to. Plus, Lance is a fan favorite and well respected in the sport, which is very important to me,” said team owner Mike Heffner in a statement released on Wednesday.
Daryn Pittman, Heffner’s driver last season, left the team to pursue an opportunity with Kasey Kahne Racing.
