Tulsa, OK — (February 5, 2013) — Set in some of the most scenic country in the United States, the ASCS Northwest Region will embark on a 23 race schedule split between Washington and Oregon for the 2013 season.
Possibly the shortest of the Regions, in terms of allowable time to race, the ASCS Northwest Regional slate will begin on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash. and extend to late September.
Willamette Speedway will host the Region on May 31, followed by a June 1 appearance at Cottage Grove Speedway. The Region returns to Grays Harbor Raceway on June 28 and 29 for the lead up the ASCS Northwest Speedweek which begins on Monday, July 1 and extends through Saturday, July 6.
The week long Sprint Car festival will begin at Southern Oregon Speedway in Medford, Ore. before moving to Coos Bay and Willamette Speedway for the Tuesday, and Wednesday showdowns. The 2013 ASCS Northwest Speedweek will culminate with a three day event at the Cottage Grove Speedway. Details regarding Speedweek sponsors and individual event sponsors will be released at a later date.
A cool retreat from the Midwest heat and humidity, the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real will co-sanction a half dozen dates with the ASCS Northwest Region, beginning at Grays Harbor Raceway on Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13 with the Northwest ASCS 360 Nationals presented by Budweiser.
Returning to Cottage Grove Speedway, the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real will grace the quarter-mile clay surface on Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20 with the July schedule of events capping off at the Southern Oregon Speedway in Medford on Friday, July 26 and the Willamette Speedway on Saturday, July 27 in Lebanon.
August will consist of three dates, starting back at the Willamette Speedway on Aug. 17 then Cottage Grove Speedway on Aug. 23, and Sunset Speedway on Aug. 24 in Banks, Ore.
The ASCS Northwest Regional lineup will end at the Yakima Speedway on Friday, Sept. 21 and Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Yakima Speedway in Yakima, Wash.
