Sarver, PA — (April 8, 2013) — After a long and seemingly unrelenting winter, spring finally appears to be upon us and the Action Track is just a week away from getting back to green flag racing! The first round of Frequently Asked Questions about the DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede Finale has raised even more questions about the rescheduled event for Sunday, April 14. Pit gates & tech inspection will open at 11:00AM, grandstands will open at 1:00PM and Racing is scheduled to start at 3:00 with B-Mains, followed by A-Mains and the 100-lap Enduro.
What do I do with my Rain check ticket/wristband from October?
All rain checks for Saturday’s portion of the original October date will be honored on Sunday, April 14 and can be exchanged at the Round Up Tent outside the pits. Those without wristbands or rain checks can pay the single-day admission prices of $25 for adults, $20 for students 11-17 and student 10 & under are always FREE! Pit passes are $30 for DIRTcar members and $35 for non-members. Those attending the Test & Tune can trade in their 2012 rain check wristband on Saturday while buying a Test & Tune wristband at and receive/wear just one wristband for the weekend and thus save time Sunday.
There are no other two-day ticket or pit pass options. Those without 2012 rain checks wishing to attend both Saturday’s practice and Sunday’s Steel City Stampede Finale will be required to purchase individual pit passes for both days as they are stand alone programs; participation in either event is independent of the other.
Is participation in the Test & Tune required to compete in Sunday’s Steel City Stampede Finale?
No, as mentioned above, these are stand alone event and participation in one does not require participation in the other. Many of our other locals tracks will be in competition Saturday Night and we want our drivers to have the freedom to support their local speedway and then return Sunday for the Stampede features/B-Mains.
Can we practice Saturday and stay/camp overnight for the Stampede Finale on Sunday?
Yes, camping will be accessible free of charge, but please be mindful and courteous of those around you; especially realizing that many of our neighbors will be going to church Sunday morning!
What if we have a rain check from October but cannot attend the Steel City Stampede Finale?
If you are unable to use, trade or resell your October/rain check wristband or ticket, please call the Speedway office (724) 353-1511 AFTER the event is contested/completed for other alternatives to utilize your rain check; but again, these alternatives can only be discussed AFTER the event is contested/completed.
What if I/my driver participated in October’s heat races, but cannot compete in the Stampede Finale?
Once again, any driver or car owner that was unable to return to complete the event should call the Speedway office AFTER the event is contested/completed to discuss tow money concerns.
I didn’t compete in the heat races in October, can I still race in the Stampede Finale on April 14?
Yes, all drivers from any division may pay the posted registration fee and tail the B-Main (and possible for some divisions tail the A-Main). The lineups for all races are posted under the DOWNLOAD tab on our website, www.Lernerville.com. Obviously, there is no guarantee that all cars will return and thus car counts and the final discretion of track officials will determine whether new registrants will tail the A or B-Main.
What is the procedure for a driver change of a qualified car?
In the event of a driver change of a qualified car, the car with a new driver will be sent to the tail of qualified cars/drivers but ahead of B-Main transfers and/or new registrants. Failing to inform track officials of a driver change will result in the disqualification at the final discretion of track officials.
What is the tire rule for 410 Sprints?
With the transition from Goodyear to Hoosier for 410 Sprints, both 2012 (Goodyear) and 2013 (Hoosier) National tire rule tires will be permitted for use in competition for the Steel City Stampede finale. This is not, however, an open rule events; either brand must be within the 2012 or 2013 National tire rule.
Will the Crate Late Models still run under FASTRAK Northeast sanctioning?
Yes, on Sunday, April 14 Lernerville Speedway will run the remaining events of the FASTRAK Northeast Late Model “Steel City Stampede” event that was rained out after the conclusion of heat races and the dash on October 26, 2012.
All qualified cars that return will retain their qualified position. In the event of some cars not returning, other qualified cars will be moved up to fill the voids. The remaining feature starting positions will be filled through two B mains. Drivers who were present at the original race will start in their respective B main positions.
In the event the car owner of record chooses to replace the original driver with a different driver, car will start scratch ahead of any new cars. In all cases, the original entered car owner will receive prize money.
Any new cars in attendance will be permitted to attempt to qualify by starting in the B mains behind those drivers previously entered. New cars in attendance will draw for starting order in the rear of the B mains.
Show-up points were previously awarded for FASTRAK Northeast Touring competitors, no additional points will be awarded and 2012 Point Standings will not be affected.
This is a continuation of the 2012 FASTRAK event and all 2012 FASTRAK rules will be in effect. The event remains a 30-lap feature paying $2,000-to-win.
B Mains (8 laps if less than 10 cars, 10 laps if 10 or more cars). Top 2 finishers from each B main will transfer to the feature. Additional cars may transfer if additional cars are needed to fill 24-car starting field.

The Dream Racer allows sick children receiving an IV therapy such as chemotherapy to briefly forget about their illness and experience the excitement of driving on the track while sitting in an authentically constructed Children’s Dream Racer.
