Port Royal – According to published reports, driver websites and personal confirmations with PRS Promotions officials, Port Royal Speedway is expecting an infusion of national talent to invade the oval for Saturday’s prestigious and rich Bob Weikert Memorial sanctioned by the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints.

Aside from All Stars regulars Dale Blaney, Tim Shaffer, Danny Holtgraver, Justin Henderson and others, many other names have been added to the list of expected entries.

Racing sensation Kyle Larson of Sacramento, California, a current campaigner on the Nationwide NASCAR Series circuit who won a NASCAR truck race two weeks ago at Rockingham, has confirmed his planned entry.

The 20-year old is the hottest talent to sit behind the wheel in racing circles in recent memory, scoring in USAC sprints and midgets, World of Outlaws sprints and All Stars sprints during his young tenure in the sport, indeed having taken a WoO win just a few weeks ago.

A fellow NNS series driver, Kasey Kahne Racing sprint car pilot Brad Sweet of Grass Valley, California, has also indicated his intent to compete at the wheel of his KKR No. 49 machine.

Sweet too has won with the World of Outlaws, All Stars, USAC and more at his young age of 27.

Tim Kaeding of San Jose, California, is likewise on his way to Port Royal for the Weikert Memorial at the wheel of the Roth Motorsports No. 83.

Kaeding, one of the favorite sons of the famous Kaeding California racing roots and champions, just scored his third World of Outlaws victory of the season last weekend at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana.

And even more additions to the talent-laden field will come in the form of the Haudenschilds, veteran father Jac and son Sheldon, both of Wooster, Ohio.

The elder Haudenschild, a former Bob Weikert pilot in the early 1980s and a 23-time All Stars winner in his illustrious career, will be competing in the event along with 20-year old Sheldon.

Sheldon pocketed the sprint car win at Ohio’s Attica Speedway recently while father Jac just picked up the win at Vermillion, Ohio, on Sunday, April 21.

The 2013 Weikert Memorial pays $10,000 to win alone out of an A Main purse worth some $34,000 along with several thousand dollars in contingency money up for grabs as well.

General admission gates for the race will open at 5 pm with time trials slated for 7.

Adult general admission is just $20 for the fantastic affair and students ages 12 – 18 will be admitted for just $5.
