After recording their sixth straight top-ten with a runner-up performance on Friday, Craig Dollansky and the Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team capped Outlaw Thunder weekend at Eldora Speedway on Saturday with their second of five STP World of Outlaws scheduled events in 2013 at the big half-mile located outside Rossburg, Ohio.
Set to go with 34 drivers signed into the pit area, Dollansky turned the 16th fastest time in qualifying at 13.414 seconds. Sixteen cars inverted into four heats then put the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim on the pole of heat four. In the 8-lap heat race, Dollansky lost a couple of spots on the initial start and finished third just missing out on a spot in the dash.
In the 30-lap A-Main the MobileStar #7 took the green flag from outside row eight. After working his way past four cars in the opening two circuits, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ dropped one spot to run thirteenth by lap 5. Following a pair of cautions on lap 12 & 14, the Elk River, Minnesota native continued battling until lap 21 when the Big Game Treestands backed sprinter cracked the top-ten but another yellow negated him to eleventh for the restart. With just eight circuits remaining, Dollansky worked to try move back into the top-ten but ended up taking the checkered flag in 11th.
The Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team will now return to the shop in Windom, Minnesota before action resumes this Friday, May 10th, for the first time ever at Elko Speedway just south of Minneapolis.
