Sun Prairie, Wis., May 14—The 67th season of Midget Auto Racing at Angell Park Speedway kicks off Sunday Night May 19 at the famed 1/3-mile clay oval. The Stark Automotive Group/Mid-State Equipment Badger Midget Series event will be the first of eleven midget race events at the track.
The Badger 600 Micro Series, along with the Wisconsin Dirt Legends Series will also participate in the opening night event. The Badger 600 Micros will also compete at all eleven track events, with the Legends running five nights. The pits will open at 3:00 p.m., the pill draw is from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m,. drivers meeting be at 5:30 p.m., and hot laps at 6:00 p.m. with racing to follow.
The following weekend on May 25-26, The Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget Series and Badger will co-sanction the “11th annual Sue Thiel Memorial” at the track. Saturday Night’s event will pay $2,000 to win, with the first place prize on Sunday doubling to $4,000.
Thomas Meseruall currently holds a ten-point lead in the Badger Midget Points, ahead of Danny Stratton, follwed by David Gough, Brad Kuhn, and Travis Berryhill.
