Attica, OH – (May 16, 2013) –Attica Raceway Park has released the procedures on how the twin 25 lap features – each paying $2,500 to win/$250 to start – will be lined up on Friday, May 17 for the Eric Phillips 25th Anniversary Classic.
If four heat races are run (depends on the car count) for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 410 Sprints, the top four finishers will transfer to the A-main with the top 3 from each heat redrawing for the top 12 starting positions. Under this format if only one B-main is run, the top six finishers will transfer to the A-main. If two B-mains are contested, the top 3 finishers from each advance to the A-main.
If five heat races are run (depends on the car count) the to 3 finishers transfer to the A-main with the top 2 redrawing for the top 10 starting spots. There would be 2 B-mains run and the top 3 finishers from each would advance to the A-main. To complete the 22-car starting field the driver highest in Attica’s point standings that has not qualified for the A-main will make the field.
The first 25-lap feature will be a full Attica and Kistler Racing Products FAST Championship Series points race. The second feature will not award any points. The winner will draw from a 6, 8, 10 or 12 for the inversion for the second 25-lap feature which will then be lined up based on the first race finish (if a 10 inversion number is drawn the winner of first feature would start 10th in the second feature, etc.).
If necessary alternates will be added to the second feature from the B-main finish. If 2 B-mains were run, the alternates will be chosen between the two to fill the field.
