Port Royal – Port Royal Speedway will present Food Pantry/Camera & Autograph Night this Saturday at 7 pm, featuring racing with the Aumiller’s Insurance 410 sprints, the Gray’s Auto & Towing Late Models and the pro stocks.
The pro stock division will be competing in twin 12-lap feature events during the program.
Plus there will be lots of extra action at the track on Saturday as not only will it be Food Pantry Night and Camera & Auto Night but the FNB of Mifflintown Kids Money Scramble will also take place on the frontstretch during intermission.
The Kids Money Scramble will allow youth ages 12 and under to gather as much of the money as possible for their own little pockets thanks to FNB and others.
A total of at least $500 will be scrambled for the kids to pick up during the special event, as presented by the First National Bank of Mifflintown. Also contributing to the youth money scramble are board members of the speedway governing body, the Juniata County Agricultural Society.
General admission ticket holders will be permitted access to the speedway pit area from the time that gates open at 5 pm until 6 pm.
Fans are invited to arrive early and take a tour of the pit area after purchasing their general admission ticket for evening.
Also on Saturday, a donation by fans of a non-perishable food item earmarked for the Juniata County Food Pantry will net those fans a $2 discount ticket to the races.
The discount ticket will be good for any race during the rest of the season at Port Royal.
The track celebrated the victory of hometown boy Dylan Cisney on Saturday, June 15 as the local hero out dueled Doug Esh for the 410-sprint win.
Full programs of qualifying heat races, consolations and feature events are slated for all three divisions on Saturday with the special twin 12’s for pro stocks on the program.
So far this season only Time Krape, Keith Garman and Derrick Garman have been the only drivers able to break into pro stock victory lane.
