Close on their heels is Anderson’s Rowdy McClenon who sits four-points back of Schank and 10 markers back of leader Hall. Brentwood’s Colton Slack has been one of the most impressive drivers this year. Slack is holding down the fourth spot in points. Rounding out the top five is two-time series winner this year Geoff Ensign of Sebastopol.
Orland’s Tony Richards could be considered one of the favorites. The local open wheel star has numerous wins at the Orland Speedbowl. Chico’s Taylor Nelson runs weekly at Silver Dollar Speedway and sits 14th in the Hunt Series point standings. Chico’s Don Emery, Dustin Thompson and Oroville’s Ron LaPlant should also take advantage of this race literally in their backyards.
