Siskiyou County Fair Hosts 3rd Annual $3k –to-Win Sprint Car Race

– (Yreka, CA)- For the third year-in-a-row the Siskiyou County Fair Board is excited to host the 3rd Annual Siskiyou County Fair Race on Friday August 9th, 2013 featuring winged 360 Sprint Cars as well as Modified’s.

 

The Sprint Car portion of the event is sanctioned by the ISCS so both open headed, and ASCS engines are legal to participate for the $3,000.00 up for grabs for the winner.

 

Taking place at the high-banked, ¼ mile, Siskiyou Motor Speedway on the Siskiyou Golden Fairgrounds in Yreka,CA, drivers from all over are invited, and encouraged, to take part in this event that has seen Kyle Larson, and Kyle Hirst both win this family-fun event.

 

“It is a great race track, and a fun atmosphere,” 2012 winner, Kyle Hirst, said. “Any time you can race during a fair is awesome because there is stuff for the family to do afterword’s, and it is a packed house. Throw that in with a race track that puts on a great show, and it is an event you want to hit if you are able to.”

 

Aside form paying $3K to the winner, second place pays $1800 while the final spot on the podium pays out $1200.

 

The Modified’s will also be on the car, and they will compete for $1,000 to win, and will compete under IMCA rules.
