Torrance, CA — (August 14, 2013) — Fresh his best 2013 finish in the Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series last Saturday night at Santa Maria Speedway, Greg Alexander and the Chuck Tyler Motorsports Team will head to Perris Auto Speedway this Saturday night, August 17th, for the “California Racers Hall of Fame Night.”

Alexander made his first trip of the year to the 1/3 of a mile banked Santa Maria speed plant last week and timed in ninth fast in the 17 car field. He then came home victorious in his 10-lap heat race. On a track where he previously visited victory lane, the 24-year-old Torrance, California resident fought for all 30-laps and notched his highest 2013 finish in the USAC/CRA Series with a seventh.
This Saturday, Alexander returns to the “Southern California Home of Major League Sprint Car Racing,” Perris Auto Speedway. Thus far in 2013, he has two appearances on the famous Riverside County half-mile clay oval. At his first race of the season there on April 6th, he was taken out by another car, flipped on top of the crashwall destroying his racecar and finishing 19th. On July 4th before the biggest crowd of the season, he finished 12th. He looks to vastly improve on those two outings this Saturday night.
