(Lebanon, IN) The USSA Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW and Mel Kenyon Midget Series will kick-off the 2014 racing Season at Anderson Speedway with the Glen Niebel Classic on Sunday April 13. The Sprint Cars will run 100-laps in prep for the 66th Pay Less Little 500 on Saturday May 24, with the Midgets set to compete for 30-laps.
For the second year, racing in conjunction with Must See Racing, the Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW will race in Anderson Speedway’s 66th Pay Less Little 500. A USSA points race, the Pay Less Little 500 is sanctioned by Must See Racing, who also provides the television coverage of the event. The Pay Less Little 500 serves as the crown jewel of the Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW. The Mel Kenyon Midget Series will be featured during Pay Less Little 500 week on Wednesday, May 21, along with the Must See Racing Winged Sprinters.
The 2nd annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 50, is scheduled to close out the USSA Sprint Car and Midget Seasons as Anderson Speedway will determine USSA’s champion’s for the 6th consecutive year.
Anderson Speedway will host the Mel Kenyon Midget Series on a date each in July and August. The specific dates will be announced as the Speedway’s 2014 schedule firms up.
USSA is currently negotiating dates for the dirt portion of the Mel Kenyon Midget Series schedule with US 24 Speedway and Coles County Speedway. These races will be schedule with travel and changing the cars from pavement to dirt and back again in mind.
