Lawrenceburg, IN — (September 14, 2013) — Chris Windom won the Lawrenceburg Chevrolet Sprint Car feature on Saturday night, picking up his first win of the year at Lawrenceburg. Windom would take the green flag from the 4th starting position and move his way to the front. CJ Leary would lead the first 9 laps before Windom was able to get around him and take command. Slower traffic would factor into the race for the lead as Leary would put the pressure on Windom several times. Although Leary wanted to win the battle, he knew the war could be won by holding his position. That war was the 2013 track championship. Windom would hold on to win the race, and Leary would win the track championship. Following Windom and Leary were Gary Taylor, Jarrett Andretti, and Joss Moffatt. Heat race winners were Taylor, Leary, Windom, and Moffatt. Tim Hunter won the B main. CJ Leary adds another accomplishment to his already impressive resume by claiming the track championship after winning 3 features and numerous great finishes. Ted Hines finished second in the series standings and Joss Moffatt was third.
