In action for three nights this past week, Tim Kaeding made it count as he scored his 12th win of the season on Wednesday night before scoring two more podiums over the weekend in Chico, CA.
“I can’t thank everyone enough who works on this Roth Motorsports car,” Kaeding said. “We have been really strong all year, and have been strong since returning home.”
Taking on the Civil War Series on Wednesday night at the Placerville Speedway, Kaeding started on the front row of the 30-lap feature event alongside Justyn Cox.
When the green flag waived, Kaeding went to the top of the hooked up track, and slipped back to the second spot.
Staying committed to the top, the track slowly began coming to him, and on the 10th lap, the San Jose, CA driver was able to drive around Cox exiting turn four to take command of the race.
Once in front, TK set sail, and was never challenged for the top spot, as he went on to lead the final 20-laps en route to his 12th win of the year.
Returning to action over the weekend at the Silver Dollar Speedway, TK kept his podium streak alive as he turned in quite a performance on Friday night, before taking part in Saturday night’s rubber-down fiasco.
Timing in 12th fastest against the 46 cars checked in the speedway, TK did not get the start he wanted in his heat race, and slipped back to the third spot, keeping him out of the Dash, and putting him 16th in the feature event, on a heavy, and fast track.
With his driving style, and starting that far back, all eyes were on him, as he marched to the front of the field.
On a track where many people were un able to make up a ton of ground, Kaeding was able to scratch, and claw his way up to a third place finish at the stripe.
On Saturday night, Kaeding kicked his night off by timing his Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/3H Cattle entry in fifth fastest, putting him in the second row of the fifth heat.
Scoring a second place finish in his heat, TK lined up fourth in the Dash, and was able to sneak into the second spot, putting him on the front row of the feature event.
With rubber being laid down for much of the night, the race came down to who could get to the bottom of one and two first, and unfortunately TK lost that race, and settled into the second spot.
Running the bottom for 30-laps, TK was able to score another strong finish in California, and brought home a second place finish.
“It was an interesting couple night’s of racing, and I have to thank Dennis and Teresa Roth for letting us come out and have some fun,” he said. “I put myself behind the eight ball a bit on Friday, and had some fun coming up to a third place finish, but Saturday we put ourselves in position to be up front, and that was key on that track.”
Tim and his Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, 3H Cattle, Mobil1, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, and Astro Titanium for their support in 2013.
