Port Royal – Celebrating its 15th anniversary season in 2013, the PA Sprint Series region of RaceSaver sprints is hosting the second annual Blue Collar Classic for RaceSaver 305 sprint cars this weekend, October 11 and 12, at Port Royal Speedway.
Every race during the two-day affair is important right up until the final sprint race, the Founders Cup race on Saturday night.
Pre-entries have already topped 50 for this weekend’s Blue Collar Classic at Port Royal Speedway.
Friday night action will feature a regular show for the RaceSaver 305 Sprints with the top finishers from two RaceSaver regions earning guaranteed starting spots in Saturday’s Keystone RaceSaver Blue Collar Classic feature event.
Also on Friday the 358 limited late models will compete along with a pro stock/street stock challenge and an enduro dash.
The PA Sprint Series will also present Logan Wagner of Harrisonville with the 2013 region championship title trophy as part of the Friday program.
RaceSaver 305 Sprints once again take top billing on Saturday in the 2nd annual Keystone RaceSaver Blue Collar Classic with an overall purse of $10,000 up for grabs in 305 competition.
The prestigious race joining all local RaceSaver regions awards $750 to the winner of the 25-lap main and $250 for the 24th place finisher.
And later in the night all non-qualifiers will run in a 15-lap Founders Cup race with the winner earning $200 and a guaranteed starting spot in the 2014 Blue Collar Classic main event.
Numerous contingency prizes are also up for grabs to the 305 sprints.
Also on the Saturday card will be the super sportsman and an enduro dash along with a demolition derby.
Friday pit gates open at 5 pm followed by general admission gates at 6 pm and racing at 7.
Saturday pits open at 3 pm with general admission gates opening at 4 followed by racing at 5.
Adult general admission both nights is just $12 with students ages 12 – 18 admitted for JUST $5.
