Stepping beyond their usual West Coast racing slate, Shannon McQueen Racing is excited to be joining hands with Stephanie Meents Racing, coming together to run the 2014 USAC Midget Week in Indiana with an all-female driver trio of California’s Shannon McQueen, Indiana’s Courtney Barth and Oklahoma’s Michelle Decker behind the wheel. McQueen and Barth will chauffer McQueen Racing Spike/Esslinger entries while Decker will campaign a Meents Motorsports Spike/Mopar mount at such famed Dirt tracks as Kokomo Speedway.
The female owned teams are excited for the opportunity to showcase their talents during an entire week of prestigious USAC-National Midget series races that they have only dreamed of being a part of.
“No amount of help is too big or too small every donation helps us accomplish our dreams. Thanks to everyone for your continued support and effort,” states team owner McQueen.
All donors to the Midget week campaign will be entered into a drawing to win prizes from the female owned and driven team, with winners chosen the week prior to Midget week, which is June 11 through 15. Prizes will include T-shirts, signed photos, posters, gloves, name visors and more.

McQueen became the first woman to win a BCRA Midget championship in 2011 when she claimed the BCRA Dirt Midget crown, then claimed the 2012 USAC-Western States Midget championship. McQueen also holds multiple track records, including those at the 99 Dirt Track in Stockton, Calistoga Speedway, Silver Dollar Speedway and Orange Show Speedway.
McQueen is also the first female owner to boast a win with a female driver when Oklahoma’s Michelle Decker won a USAC Western States Midget Feature in April 2012 at McQueen’s home track of Bakersfield Speedway at the helm of one of McQueen’s potent Spike/Esslinger entries.
Though competing in a partial schedule, McQueen claimed fourth in the 2013 USAC-Western States Midget series and fifth in the USAC-Western States Midget Dirt standings with ten Top 10s, six Top fives, two podium finishes, plus two Heat race wins and three fast times laurels, including a track record at the Stockton 99 Dirt track.
