Danny Wood Claims NCRA Sprint Laurels at Kansas State Fairgrounds!

Hutchinson, Kansas – April 19, 2014 – Danny Wood of Norman, Oklahoma made his tow to the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Kansas a profitable one as he took home the twenty lap National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products sprint car victory Saturday night atop the famed half mile oval.

Wood took the lead at the start from his outside front row starting position and never looked back in claiming his $2000 victory and became the seventh different tour feature winner in the past eight events held dating back to last year.

For the second race in a row, former tour champion Jeremy Campbell finished second while Aurora, Nebraska driver Ryan Roberts made his long tow pay off with a third place finish. Former three-time and defending tour champion C.J. Johnson had a rough start to his night as he was caught in a crash in his heat race. Crews made the necessary repairs and would started 17th in the feature. He worked his own #45x up through the field to come home fourth while Jake Martens had a strong run to round out the top five.

The two heat races for the eighteen car field were won by Roberts and Campbell.

Next up for the NCRA sprint car tour will be a first ever appearance at Butler County Speedway in Risen City, Nebraska on Saturday night, May 10th. It will be the series first ever appearance at the facility.
