Kinser, the 20-time series champion and the winningest World of Outlaws driver, is in his final season of chasing the championship and this Friday’s event will draw a lot of family members.

“It’s been a few years since we’ve been there and it’s always nice to get back to places where you haven’t been for a while,” Kinser said. “We’ve raced at a lot of tracks in Wisconsin through the years and it’s fun for me to race up there. My wife (Dana) is from Wisconsin so we get to see some of her family and friends. You always want to do well no matter where you are racing, but it does make it extra special to see those familiar faces at the track with you.”

Kinser put on a show for his friends and family by charging from 20th to a 10th-place result during the 2008 World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series event at Wilmot Raceway.

“I know if you look at the numbers we didn’t qualify well (20th), but we were able to move forward and finish 10th,” he said. “It’s a smaller track and track position is really important.”

Kinser is currently seventh in the World of Outlaws championship standings with one feature victory, five top fives and 14 top 10s.

“The Bad Boy Buggies guys have been working hard and we’ve qualified better the last few races,” he said. “I’d sure like to get another win for those guys and to do it in Wisconsin would be a good thing, too.”

The main gates are scheduled to open at 4 p.m. with racing around 7:30 p.m. local time.
