USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour Kicks Off at Poplar Bluff Saturday

June 23, 2014 – The United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters winged sprint cars kickoff off a busy two weeks of racing with five events in the USCS presented by K&N Mid South region. The first of the five races is this Saturday night (6/28) at Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, Missouri during the “Fireworks 150”. The race that as formerly held at the now closed Malden Speedway will pay $2000 to the first driver to reach the www.rockaauto.com USCS Victory Lane. The event also guarantees $300 to the last place starter/finisher in the A-Main.

On the following Thursday night (July 3rd) the series headlines the 3rd annual “Rumble at the Ridge” at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway in Paragould, Arkansas. On Friday, July 4th the USCS presented by K&N Filters winged warriors invade Diamond Park Speedway in Nashville, Arkansas for 2nd annual Duel at the Diamond. The Independence Day weekend action ends for the USCS drivers on Saturday, July 5th with the series 2nd ever stop at the historic I-30 Speedway in Benton, Arkansas for the USCS “Hammerdown at Hammer Hill”. All three events will have a $2000 check waiting in the www.rockauto.com USCS Victory Lane for the winner.  The final event of five-race, two-week run will be the USCS Sprint Speedweek 2014 Finale on Saturday, July 12th at Riverside International Speedway. The event was originally scheduled for Saturday, May 31st, but was rained out.

The Poplar Bluff Speedway event is a USCS double-header as the K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modifieds join the USCS winged sprint cars on the racing card while racing for $1200 to win. Five Poplar Bluff Speedway weekly racing divisions also join the two USCS sanctioned divisions on the action-packed racing card with a full racing program in each division as well. Those divisions include the Nesmith Dirt Late Models, Super Street, Nesmith Street Stock, E-MOD and Mini Stock divisions. Also included in the evening’s entertainment will be holiday fireworks.
