As the 2014 season comes to a close, Harley Van Dyke is excited to welcome aboard Omaha, NE driver, Dakota Hendrickson, to his Van Dyke Motorsports team for the remained of the season as well as the 2015 season.
As it sits now the team will make their debut with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour this weekend at the Cocopah Speedway in Yuma, AZ. With this weekend bringing the close of the 2014 campaign, Van Dyke and Hendrickson will then return to the Cocopah Speedway in January and take part in the Winter Heat Showdown.
“I am very excited to welcome Dakota Hendrickson to our team,” Harley Van Dyke said. “He is a young kid with a nice background, and I am excited to see what we can do together.”
With a background in Outlaw Karts, the 18-year-old driver made the move to Winged Sprint Cars in 2012 as he piloted a 305ci car before moving into the 410i division at the Knoxville Raceway in 2013.
2015 brings some added travel to Hendrickson’s schedule as the Van Dyke Motorsports team will pick and chose their schedule from California through Iowa.
The team plans to compete with several sanctioning bodies including ASCS both National and Regional, the new National Sprint League, as well as in various events at the Knoxville Raceway.
“We are all excited to get started, and this weekend should be a nice start to our new arrangement,” Van Dyke added.
The Van Dyke Motorsports team would like to thank Lucas Oil, K&N Products, JRI Shocks, NAAKE Suspension, FSR Radiators, for their support during the year.
