The USAC Western HPD Midgets, fresh off their series-opening race at Lake Havasu City, Ariz. last Saturday, travel to Lucas Oil I-10 Speedway for round two this Saturday in Blythe, Calif.
Dylan Nobile of Clovis, Calif. captured Saturday’s 30-lap season-opener at Havasu 95 Speedway, leading the final seven laps after passing Michael Fanelli on lap 24.
Bryant Dawson of Phoenix, Ariz., winner of the 2014 outing at Blythe, took second Saturday ahead of Fanelli, Cody Jessop and Annie Breidinger.
Nobile leads Dawson by just four points in the new Western HPD standings entering Saturday’s race.
