Selinsgrove PA — (May 16, 2015) — Heavy rain washed out Saturday night’s Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprint (ESS) show at Selinsgrove Speedway. The cancellation was announced at 5:30 p.m. as showers persisted into the early evening hours.
Saturday’s race was to mark the traveling 360 sprint car club’s 32nd season opener, which has fallen victim to inclement weather for the fourth time this year. Speedway and ESS officials are looking at possible dates to reschedule the show later this summer.
Selinsgrove Speedway will present the Ray Tilley Classic for 410 sprint cars plus super sportsman and 305 sprint cars at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 24. Track gates will open at 5 p.m.
There will be no racing on the half-mile track Saturday, May 23.
