Knoxville, IA — (May 16, 2015) — This Thursday night, May 21, will be the free and open-to-the-public forum entitled “Sprint Car 101: An Evening with Wayne Johnson” at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum. According to curator Tom Schmeh, “I think people will really enjoy hearing from Wayne about his life and career. He is one of the more versatile drivers in sprint car racing, as evidenced by his Iowa Sprint Week ‘Mr. Sprint Car’ titles in 2007 and ’08. The former American Sprint Car Series champion is a former winner of the Knoxville 360 Nationals, the Short Track Nationals at Little Rock, the East Bay Winternationals, the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals at Ohsweken, and last year’s Fall Brawl at I-80. The Mustang, Oklahoma, native has also won a Knoxville Nationals preliminary night show and he won the inaugural National Sprint League show at West Burlington a couple of weeks ago. If you aren’t doing anything this Thursday night at 7 p.m., come on over to the National Sprint Car Museum for an entertaining and educational evening.”
