From Port Royal Speedway
Port Royal, PA – (June 1, 2015) – Port Royal Speedway will host the national stars of USAC wingless sprint car racing this Saturday night, June 6 at 7 pm.
The USAC Eastern Storm will hit the track along with the wingless ARDC Midgets.
A championship event for the Gray’s Auto & Towing 355 Econo Late Models is also slated.
The USAC program will be surrounded by the annual EMMR/Penn Central Racing Reunion that features dozens of restored racecars from both organizations on display before and during the show.
The 2015 Founders Awards will also be bestowed during the show, to veterans Elmer Ruby and Junior Ritchey.
Gates will open at 4 pm.
Adult general admission is set at $25 with students ages 12 – 18 priced at $7.
The USAC stars will vie in a 30-lap Eastern Storm feature event on Saturday, paying $6,000 to win.
Oklahoma’s Brady Bacon is the defending Port Royal event and Eastern Storm series champion.
The Port Royal show will be the fourth in the five-night 2015 USAC Eastern Storm tour.
The 2015 series kicks off at Grandview Speedway on June 2 before moving to Lincoln Speedway on June 3 and New Egypt Speedway on June 4 before climaxing at Susquehanna Speedway on June 7.
Other previous USAC winners at Port Royal, all in Eastern Storm competition, have been Dave Darland, 2013; and Damion Gardner, 2012.
Aside from a returning Bacon, other national stars expected to compete in this years Eastern Storm USAC tour include Shane Cottle, Kokomo, Ind.; Tracy Hines, New Castle, Ind.; Chris Windom, Canton, Ill.; Chase Stockon, Elizabethtown, Ind.; Dave Darland, Lincoln, Ind.; and many more.
Port Royal returns with Fan Appreciation Night on June 13 with $10 ADULT GENERAL ADMISSION for a racing program of 410 sprints, super late models, River Valley Builders 305 sprints and Len Krautheim Auto Sales xtreme stocks.
