Windom, MN (July 16, 2015) – The FVP National Sprint League has a busy week in store, and it all begins Tuesday, July 21 at the Hancock County Speedway southeast of Britt, Iowa. The NSL will provide a perfect opening to not only NSL Fair Speedweek, but the Hancock County District Fair as well, as 900 horsepower 410 c.i. engine sprint cars will return to the 4/10-mile oval for the first time since 2008!

It was nine-time Australian World Series Sprintcars champion, Brooke Tatnell who stood atop the podium in an IRA event in 2008 in Britt. The Knoxville Raceway track record holder is expected to be in attendance again on Tuesday.

Joining Brooke will be some of the best sprint car drivers from across the country and around the world! Four-time Knoxville Nationals champion, Danny Lasoski of Dover, Missouri leads the NSL point standings heading into Fair Speedweek. Two-time “King of California” Tim Kaeding, seven-time Knoxville Raceway track champion, Terry McCarl, Charlotte World Finals winner Brian Brown and defending Knoxville Raceway track champion, Ian Madsen from Australia are also anticipated.

Others to expect include South Dakota’s Dusty Zomer, seven-time IRA champion Bill Balog, five-time Huset’s Speedway champion, Mark Dobmeier, two-time USAC champion and Indy 500 driver Bryan Clauson, Minnesota’s Davey Heskin, Australia’s Lynton Jeffrey and many more!

FVP National Sprint League “Fair Speedweek” continues Wednesday, July 22 at the Iowa State Fair Speedway in Des Moines before moving on to the Jackson County Fair and the Jackson Speedway in Minnesota on Thursday, July 23. The NSL will also make its second visit of the year to the Huset’s Speedway near Brandon, South Dakota on Sunday, July 26.

The Hancock County District Fair has a plethora of activities planned, including its kickoff parade in downtown Britt Tuesday at 5 p.m. For a complete list of activities at the weeklong fair, visit www.HancockCountyFair.com!

Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for youth 5-12, and 4 and under are FREE! Pit passes will be $25. The grandstands open at 5 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. with qualifying and racing to follow! Sport Mods are also on the card!

National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum Sprint Car Madness!

Veteran sprint car driver Terry McCarl and sprint car owner Daryl Arend will headline “National Sprint Car Museum Madness 3” at the FVP National Sprint League sanctioned ‘410’ event at the Hancock County District Fair in Britt, Iowa, on Tuesday, July 21. Both Terry and Daryl will be present with the vintage Arend-owned sprint car that was McCarl’s first ride. The #1A sprint car will be on loan from the Kossuth County Agriculture & Motorsports Museum in Algona, Iowa.

Said museum curator Tom Schmeh, “I am thrilled that we will now be heading to Britt and partnering with Chad Meyer and the Algona museum. Not only will we have the Terry McCarl/Daryl Arend car, but we will be giving out a bunch of National Sprint Car Museum prizes to lucky fans that night. If you are sprint car fan in north central Iowa, you will want to be at the Hancock County District Fair on Tuesday, July 21, for the NSL-sanctioned winged 410-cubic-inch sprint car races and Museum Madness 3.”

The museum booth at Britt will feature the restored sprint car and a table with the following informational brochures: museum membership program, Racers at Rest program, Stay in School program, Expand the Dream program, A Brick at a Time program, and the museum store catalog. In addition, over one hundred museum prizes will be given away to lucky fans that night.
