The Badger State of Wisconsin welcomes the AMSOIL USAC National Sprint cars this week for a trio of events expected to be pivotal in the battle for the 2015 championship.

It begins Friday night at AMSOIL Speedway in Superior and continues Saturday at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond before visiting Angell Park in Sun Prairie on Sunday night.

Robert Ballou remains atop the standings with a 40-point margin over Chase Stockon, but Dave Darland is just 82 back of the leader in third place.

Ballou leads with seven feature wins this season, while Stockon has a single win and Darland has a pair. Darland continues to seek his 100th USAC National triumph which would put him in select company. Only A.J. Foyt, Rich Vogler and Mel Kenyon have previously reached the century mark in USAC’s 60-year history.

Jon Stanbrough, currently fifth in the series points, was victorious in the series’ only visit to Angell Park in 2014 while last year’s Superior appearance was weathered out. Saturday will mark the first visit for the AMSOIL Sprints at Cedar Lake Speedway.
