McKENZIE, TN – It was another strong week of results for J&J Auto Racing teams around the country. Donny Schatz, Jared Zimbardi, Danny Holtgraver, Kyle Sauder and Koty Adams were all victorious last weekend. Matt Moro and Jared Horstman were both podium finishers last weekend and clinched season championships.
WORLD OF OUTLAWS
Donny Schatz picked up his 22nd World of Outlaws win of the season Friday night at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo. Schatz led 12 of the final 13 laps in the 35-lap A-Feature and won for the first time at the high-banked oval since 2006. He leads the Outlaws championship standings by 365 points.
PATRIOT SPRINT TOUR
Jared Zimbardi earned another Patriot Sprint Tour event win Friday at Black Rock Speedway in Dundee, New York. Zimbardi, who won at Black Rock in May, drove his No. 35 J&J to victory at the 4/10-mile dirt oval.
MERCER RACEWAY PARK
Danny Holtgraver scored his first victory of the season in Tom and Sherrie Leidig’s No. 59 J&J Saturday at Mercer Raceway Park. Holtgraver held off a furious challenge from Eric Williams (No. 7 J&J) to score the victory in the Second Annual Putsy Kekich Memorial.
LOUISIANA BAYOU SPRINTERS
Koty Adams raced the No. 16 J&J to the Louisiana Bayou Sprinters victory at 171 Speedway in Leesville, Louisiana. Butch David finished third to give J&J two podium finishers.
LIMALAND MOTORSPORTS PARK
Kyle Sauder scored the NRA feature event victory on Friday at Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio. Sauder grabbed the lead midway through the 25-lap contest aboard the CH Motorsports No. 83 J&J and controlled the race the rest of the way to earn his second win of season at the track.
CHAMPIONSHIPS
IOWA STATE FAIR SPEEDWAY
Matt Moro finished second Friday night at the Iowa State Fairgrounds Speedway in Des Moines, Iowa. The finish clinched the 2015 Iowa State Fairgrounds Speedway championship for Moro for the second year in a row in Mike VanderEcken’s No. 10 J&J.
NRA SPRINTS
Jared Horstman clinched the 2015 NRA championship Friday with his podium finish at Limaland Motorsports Park in the No. 17 J&J. Horstman was a three-time NRA winner and the victories proved to be the difference in the season-long championship battle.
