Atlanta, GA – September 14, 2015 – The United Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters and historic Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas will host a benefit for the recovery of Kevin Swindell on Friday and Saturday, November 13th and 14th during the series 6th annual USCS Fall Nationals event at the famed 1/4 mile Gumbo clay oval. Several fund raising activities will occur with the event to help raise money to assist in Kevin’s recovery expenses including a silent auction of items being presently gathered. Many details will be released in regards to the benefit event over the next two months prior to the event.
Kevin Swindell was injured during the August 2015 Knoxville Nationals for winged sprint cars at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. He is presently in the recovery and rehabilitation process from serious spinal injuries as a result of his accident.
United Sprint Car Series founder and President, Pete Walton announced the event and said, ‘The USCS Fall Nationals is possibly the last event for winged sprint cars to be held during the 2015 season. Since our event is being held near Kevin’s hometown, we though the timing would be really good to do what we could to help this young man with the expenses of his recovery in this small way.”

I hope those who want to be a part of this benefit and in some way to pay tribute to this talented young man will mark thir calender nw and participate as a donor, as a racer or attend the event as a spectator” concluded Walton.
Kevin Swindell probably needs no introduction to those who are reading this, but, as a in addition to his other accomplishments, 26 year old is a four-time Chili Bowl National Midget Champion, He was the 2005 National Sprint Car Hall of Fame 360 and 410 sprint car Rookie of the Year. He was also the youngest driver to ever win a World of Outlaws sprint car main event.
“If I am correct, Kevin Swindell’s 2005 sprint car “Rookie of the Year” 360 sprint car season accomplishments included five victories in United Sprint Car Series main events at paved ovals. He competed in ten USCS paved track events that season and broke existing track records at several of the ovals. He was also the runner-up in the Short track Nationals at I-30 Speedway in his only 360 sprint car appearance on dirt. His other competition as a 16 year-old sprint car driver that season was primarily with the World of Outlaws in 410 sprint cars” informed Pete Walton.
The USCS Fall Nationals event includes the season finale for the United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters winged sprint cars. The 2015 version of the event is highlighted by a 51-lap, $5100 to win USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters main event for 360 winged sprint cars at the historic 1/4 mile.
Additionally on the USCS Fall Nationals weekend’s action packed racing card will be the K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified Series, the www.rockauto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series winged mini sprints, the Mid South Street Stocj Challenge and the Rumble at the River for the area’s Late Models.
