Holly, MI — (February 26, 2016) — Bobby Santos III may be one of the most versatile drivers in the entire country. One look at his 2016 schedule and most will agree. The Franklin, MA driver will compete in a variety of race cars this upcoming racing season including: Tour Modifieds, USAC Silver Crown cars, Midgets, Super Modifieds, non-wing Sprint Cars, and select Must See Racing winged Sprint Car events.

Santos has entered the Must See Racing Sprint Series presented by Engine Pro (MSRSS) season opening events in the Carolina’s April 15-16. The series will open up April 15 at Anderson (SC) Motor Speedway and return to Hickory (NC) Motor Speedway the following evening April 16 for the second consecutive season. The events are a part of the inaugural American Sprint Cup series.

The 2016 season will find Santos busy to say the least. The former NASCAR Whalen Modified champion will be busy as his primary focus will be to claim that series championship again. “We’re gonna run the full NASCAR Whelan Modified 17 race schedule” explained Santos.” I’ll be with the same team I’ve been with the last two years”.

DJ Racing will field a car for Santos in as many MSRSS events as his schedule will allow beginning with the season openers. “We have 7-8 races planned right now”. Santos will be in a brand new BEAST chassis after destroying his car last season in a violent wreck at Toledo Speedway. The DJ Racing team will also field a back-up car for Sierra Jackson at select MSRSS events in 2016.

Santos hasn’t competed in many MSRSS events, but likes what he’s seen so far.” It’s a good series .I’m fairly new to winged asphalt sprint car racing so I haven’t competed in a lot of Must See races. Jim (Hanks) has done a good job with the series. It’s a very competitive series. Family and friends see you on MAVTV. That makes it good”.

The Must See Racing televised 68th Pay Less Little 500 presented by UAW-GM is a race Santos is looking forward to the most in 2016. Last year after claiming the pole position, Santos was eliminated in an accident while running up front. “It’s one of the top races in the country in my opinion. We had a great car last year and might have won if not for bad luck. Maybe our luck will be better this year” concluded Santos.
