PORT ROYAL, Pa. – Port Royal Speedway will present Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars in the inaugural Keith Kauffman Classic this Saturday night at 7 pm, presented by Locust Grove Retirement Community.
The Kauffman Classic, honoring the oval’s all time winningest driver in both victories and track titles, will go 30 laps in distance, paying $5,000 to win.
Equally as impressive on April 23 will be the kickoff of the Moon Shine Camo® Rt. 35 Port Royal and Selinsgrove Speedways Dirt Late Model Challenge Series.
The super late models will race in a 25 lap main event paying $2,000 to win and $200 to start.
Pit and general admission gates open at 4 pm for the big event with adult general admission set at $22 and students ages 12 – 18 priced at $10.
The six-race, dual track Moon Shine series has posted a $3,500 guaranteed point fund for the top-five in series points with other prizes posted for the top 10 in points.
A stellar field of both super late models and super sprint cars is expected.
The All Stars alone will bring touring drivers Dale Blaney, Sheldon Haudenschild, Danny Holtgraver, Lee Jacobs, Chad Kemenah, Caleb Armstrong, Kory Crabtree and more.
In addition, Dave Blaney has confirmed his entry into the event aboard the Motter No. 71.
Packer’s Concessions of Centre Hall will pay $100 to set fast time as well as to the winner of the All Stars dash.
Race honoree Keith Kauffman will sign autographs behind the grandstand prior to the race, from 5:30 to 6 pm.
Kauffman will take part in the event throughout the night on the public address system with commentary and memories, etc.
The day will begin at The Red Zone Sports Bar and Grille along Rt. 35 in Mifflintown with a live internet broadcast on www.juniatacountyradio.com featuring driver interviews with sprinters Dale Blaney, Greg Hodnett, Sheldon Haudenschild, Danny Holtgraver and Dylan Cisney along with late model pilots Trent Brenneman, Andy Haus and Hayes Mattern.
The cars of Holtgraver, Hodnett, Haudenschild, Cisney, Haus, Brenneman, Mattern, Logan Wagner and Garrett Gray are slated to be on display along with apparel trailers.
