Humbold, KS — (April 22,2016) — A win was just what the doctor ordered for Kyle Bellm, as the “Nixa Nightmare” was unstoppable against the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products in the series inaugural visit to the Humboldt Speedway.

Taking off from the front row, Bellm had little breathing room as Kansas’ shoe Jeremy Campbell stalked the No. 14k in the early laps. Having to contend with the hard charging No. 52 of Blake Hahn following a restart on Lap 5, Campbell fell to third as Hahn set his sights on Bellm for the lead.

Closing in on the RAMS No. 14k as the leaders found the tail of the field, the pair began their game of Cat and Mouse with Hahn sliding his way into the lead on Lap 14 off the second turn but it was short lived as Hahn spun the following lap; nearly collecting Bellm who just barely tagged the No. 52 on the way around.

Able to keep the car rolling, the pair had such an advantage that Hahn was still in second despite the spin. Rapidly closing the gap, Hahn again spun in turns one and two with Jeremy Campbell this time able to take over the runner-up spot as the race neared the final five laps.
As the chaos went on for second, the No. 14k of Bellm was able to run to the night’s $2,000 score by 1.199 seconds.

Jeremy Campbell crossed second with Blake Hahn holding on for third. Brandon Hanks crossed fourth with Jonathan Cornell in the VKCC No. 28 completing the top-five.

Coming from the B-Main, the Bobby Sparks Racing No. 91 of Steven Russell charged from 17th to sixth with Cody Baker seventh. Alex Sewell was eighth with Jason McDougal crossing ninth in his first ASCS start. Oklahoma’s Mickey Walker rounded out the top-ten.
