FREMONT, Ohio – With weather forecasts calling for rain beginning in the afternoon and lasting throughout the night, Fremont Speedway has cancelled racing for Saturday, April 30.
“The forecast calls for rain to start about 3 this afternoon and continue all night. We have some teams from the Pennsylvania and Indiana areas that are following the Kistler Racing Products FAST Championship Series and I would hate for them to tow over here and then have it rain. We are off to a fantastic start for the 2016 season and we will continue that momentum next week,” said Rich Farmer, Fremont Speedway Promoter.
Fremont Speedway will continue its 65th anniversary season on Saturday, May7 with Smith Family Foods Night featuring the Rick’s Truck and Equipment Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS). The non-wing series will be kicking off its season at “The Track That Action Built.” The Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprints, McCullough Industries 602 Late Models and Burmeister Trophy Dirt Trucks will also be in action.
The May 7 event will also showcase the up-and-coming racers of the go-karters who will have their machines on display along the midway.
