Steven Tiner is off and running at the Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford, CA as he picked up his second consecutive win at the track in convincing fashion on Friday night.
“We had another good track to run on, and my guys put a great car under me,” Tiner said. “Blake Robertson was really good in clean air, and luckily for us we got into traffic and were able to reel him in and grab the lead.”
Timing the Larry Davis Farms/Wright Process Systems/Deli Delicious No. 94 machine in third fastest during qualifying time trials, the Visalia, CA pilot would proceed to finish fourth in his heat race.
Earning a spot in the Dash, Tiner would finish fourth, which placed him in the second row of the 30-lap feature event. When the green flag waived on the race, Tiner methodically worked his way past Craig Stidham and Gio Scelzi to get into the second spot.
Once in second, Tiner had a tall order in front of him as Blake Robertson had worked his way out to a sizeable lead over the rest of the field. Tiner though would slowly reel him before the leaders got into traffic.
Carving through slower cars, Tiner would make a big move on the 18th cicuit as he got around Robertson and took over the race lead. Out in front, Tiner would set sail from the field an open up a sizeable lead of his own.
Coming to the line, Tiner would pick up his second win of the season by a 4.342 second margin.
“To get two wins early is really nice, and gives us all some confidence,” Tiner added. “It is a total team effort night in and night out, and hopefully we can keep this momentum up.”
Steven and his Steven Tiner Racing team would like to thank Larry Davis Farms, Wright Process Systems, Deli Delicious, Fisher Racing Engines, Harvest Supply, Powder Coat-It, SRP, Wilwood, FSR, XYZ Machine, DMI, Dan Olson Race Products, HRP, Sander Engineering, Sweet Manufacturing, Schoenfeld, and Roseville Precision for their continued support.
