FINDLAY, Ohio (September 11, 2016) — Millstream Speedway swung open the gates on Sunday September 11th on a beautiful late summer day for racing. “Sunshine” Tyler Courtney picked up the BOSS series feature win with “Tuff” Tony Anderson bagging the Stock/Truck A Main.

In the 25 lap Rick’s Truck and Equipment B.O.S.S. A Main, No. 18 Jarrett Andretti and No. 57 Shane Cottle led the field to green, with Cottle grabbing the early lead. Tyler Courtney wasted no time charging from 9th to 3rd by lap 3 and on lap 6, made his way to the runner up spot. Cottle set a blistering pace early, closing on lapped traffic on lap 8. Courtney would use the lapped cars to close in on Cottle on lap 11, but before he could make a move, BOSS points leader Shawn Westerfield flipped his No. 89 machine exiting turn 2, bringing out the red flag. Westerfield would walk away from the crash but his night was over. On the restart, Cottle would hold the lead with Courtney patiently stalking the leader. On lap 16, Courtney pulled the trigger on a big slide job in turns 1&2, but Cottle would cross back over to retain the point. Caution would wave again on lap 17 for No. 57B Brandon Spithaler as he would come to t stop in turn 4. On the restart, Courtney immediately resumed the attack on Cottle, throwing another big slider in turns 1 and 2, this time Cottle crossed back over and the 2 made contact down the back straightaway, allowing Andretti to grab the 2nd spot briefly from Courtney, before the caution would wave again, negating the pass. On the restart Courtney would wait a lap before taking the lead from Cottle on the 19th circuit, with Andretti going to 2nd on the same lap. Andretti’s run would end on lap 22 after contact with the turn 3 and 4 wall sent the No. 18 end over end. Andretti would walk away unhurt. Courtney would hold off No. 9x Cooper Clouse, No. 21K Kody Swanson, Cottle, and No.77 Dustin Smith.

In the Stock Car/V8 Truck feature, No. 23 Casey Barr, and No. 8KB Kent Brewer would bring the field to green, but No. 22T Tony Anderson would make a daring move before the leaders made it to turn 1 to go 4 wide and grab the lead. No. 7 Jordan Conover would fall into 2nd and tried several different lines throughout the feature to challenge Anderson, but also had the No. 99J of Donnie Jeschke to contend with throughout the 18 lap A Main. Anderson would prove to be too strong, with Conover Jeschke and No.7B Shawn Valenti rolling through the final corner 3 wide battling for 2nd. Conover would be runner-up, followed by Jeschke, Valenti, and Brewer.
