INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (July 5, 2017) – POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League Director Casey Shuman has announced multiple schedule changes for the remainder of the 2017 season. Saturday, July 8 at I-35 Speedway in Winston, Missouri and Saturday, August 12 at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Missouri have been cancelled. Saturday, August 26 which was originally scheduled to be at I-35 Speedway has been moved to Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri.
“The great family behind I-35 Speedway partnered with us in 2016 giving WAR a place to race eight times when we took over ownership of the league, and that was pivotal to our successful season last year,” said Shuman, “We continue to value that partnership as we grow the league and bring new opportunities to our members. Since the original schedule release in January of this year, we have realized a few schedule changes will not only benefit our members, but also the racetracks who support us.”
With the changes, I-35 Speedway has also announced their commitment for their September 9 event date to be recorded and aired on MAVTV with the help of Rod End Supply. The coverage will air on national television; a gesture by the owners of I-35 Speedway showing their support for WAR, the drivers, and non-wing sprint car racing in the Show Me State.
Also included in the changes is the exciting addition of a new racetrack to the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League schedule; Lake Ozark Speedway. Saturday, August 26 marks the first trip to “LOS” in Eldon, Missouri for the WAR Sprints in league history.
