Home Sweet Home: Jason Meyers Wins at Thunderbowl Raceway
Jason Meyers had been trying to win a World of Outlaws race at his home track of Groppetti Automotive Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare since 2003. He came close on a couple of occasions, leading laps and being in contention, though never was quite able to make it to Victory Lane with the series at the high-banked 1/3-mile bullring. The native of nearby Clovis changed all of that on Friday night, as he won an exciting race over Joey Saldana to score the $10,000 triumph.

Wright On In ASCS Gulf South Opener at GTRP!
The American Sprint Car Series Gulf South Region opened up the 2010 season in much the same way as 2009, with Gary Wright standing in victory lane at Golden Triangle Raceway Park.

RICH VOGLER AMONG 2010 INDUCTEES INTO MOTORSPORTS HALL OF FAME OF AMERICA
Rich Vogler, who compiled more feature victories during his career than any other USAC driver in history, is listed among the 2010 inductees into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America and will be formally inducted during ceremonies at the Fillmore Detroit in Michigan on August 25.
