Tuesdays with TMAC – Tulare Tempest!

This weekend, the Altoona, Iowa sprint car ace will return to the Cali bullring for a two-night World of Outlaws invasion. He will try to add to his solid career numbers at the speed plant, and should have some momentum after recording quick time last weekend with the WoO in Las Vegas.

Continuing to gain experience behind the wheel of a 410 winged sprint car 15-year-old Zach Zimmerly made the trip to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this past Friday evening and made the most of the outing by qualifying solidly and making the main event in what was his first career start on a half-mile dirt track.

J&J TEAMS WIN AROUND THE GLOBE

Sprint car action on the final weekend of February resulted in a familiar trend with J&J Auto Racing teams coming home victorious. Defending All-Star champion, Tim Shaffer, won a pair of ASCS events in Florida while Ian Loudoun continued J&J’s dominance at Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway (TPCR) in Australia.

Jason Meyers Among the ‘Racers of the Year’ Named by the Motor Sports Press Association for 2009 Accomplishments

With the 2010 season well under way, Jason Meyers will reap one final reward from a very successful 2009 campaign that saw him win 10 times with the World of Outlaws and finish as the runner-up in the closest point race in series history, as he was recently named one of the ‘Racers of the Year’ by the Motor Sports Press Association, which is based in his home state of California.

Rocket Hockett – Close to Another Crown!

Jesse “The Rocket” Hockett was close to gaining a second crown in a row at the Ronald Laney Memorial “King of the 360’s” at East Bay Raceway Park near Tampa, Florida last Saturday night. He would settle for second in a successful first weekend back to open the 2010 season. He will now get things ready for the Devil’s Bowl Speedway and Lucas Oil ASCS action on March 19 and 20.
