1ST USAC RACE OF 2010 SET FOR TUCSON RACEWAY PARK NEW YEAR’S DAY
The first race of USAC’s 55th season of racing competition is less than a week away! Ford Focus Midgets will be competing at Tucson (Ariz.) Raceway Park on Thursday and Friday, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day! Qualifying is scheduled Thursday night and a 40-lap feature is on tap Friday.

Dave Darland Ready for The Roger McCluskey Classic at USA Raceway
Dave Darland will return to USA Raceway to kick off the New Year and honor Tucson racing legend, Roger McCluskey. Darland will be aboard the BRAT Racing, Parker Store Maxim/Don Ott entry as he looks to start 2010 in the winners circle in America’s first sprint car race of the year.

The USAC Triple Crown Strives for Gold at The 4th Annual “Copper on Dirt”
Someone once said that visionaries create the future! In December 2006 at a local restaurant, Dennis Wood shared his idea of bringing the “Copper on Dirt” to Manzanita Speedway. He told a tale of bringing USAC Sprint Cars, Midgets and Silver Crown cars to Arizona and only had five weeks to make it happen. On February 9th 2007, Dennis Woods, successfully ran the first “Copper on Dirt” with more than 130 cars participating in the two day event.

The Roger McCluskey Classic Kicks off 2010
As the Holiday’s approach and we roll into 2010, Tucson’s USA Raceway will kick off the new year honoring a great American racer and Tucson legend Roger McCluskey. Top sprint car drivers from across the country will migrate to the warmer climate to take part in the 6th Annual Roger McCluskey Classic and bring in the New Year with the first racing event of 2010.
