JOHNNY BENSON JR. PICKS UP SECOND STRAIGHT RACING AGAINST CANCER 100 AT SEEKONK
Last year Johnny Benson Jr. of NASCAR truck fame, came to Seekonk Speedway for the first time to compete in the ISMA 100. He left Seekonk with his career-first ISMA victory after an exciting battle with Chris Perley to the end of the 1st annual Racing Against Cancer 100.

RUSS WOOD PICKS UP SIXTH STAR CLASSIC WIN LEADING ALL THE WAY TYING BENTLEY WARREN’S RECORD
A huge throng of fans turned out to watch the rebirth of the traditional Star Classic and they weren’t disappointed. It was a classic race! And, it was a perfect day for Russ Wood at Star Speedway Saturday. He led all 150 green flag laps, collecting the lion’s share of the over $10,000 in lap money and bonuses, plus the $5,000 winner’s share of the purse.

Winning at Stafford for ISMA All-Time win leader Chris Perley wasn’t all that unusual at the Xtreme Tuesday 50 as he had done it four times before starting with the first event in 2004. But, beating out the winningest series driver at that famed oval, Ted Christopher, added a little more excitement to the victory.

Last season, Innerkip, Ontario’s Mike Lichty appeared to be rising to the top of his supermodified career. At only 23 and in his 7th season in 2010, Lichty showed every evidence of putting it all together racing in the International Supermodified Association’s very competitive organization.
