National Sprint Car Hall of Fame

Friday at 1 p.m. just got a whole lot better. National Sprint Car Hall of Fame (NSCHoF) inductee Bob Kinser of Indiana has agreed to join fellow inductees Ray Lee Goodwin of Missouri and Gene Marderness of Florida on moderator Gary Guehler’s panel for ‘An Historical Perspective of Sprint Car Racing.’

One of the most popular Knoxville Nationals Fan Fair forums held annually at the National Sprint Car Museum is the Bruce Ellis-moderated “Meet the Posse” program. This year promises to be the same, as the veteran Williams Grove Speedway announcer has lined up Daryn Pittman, Lance Dewease, Danny Holtgraver, Greg Hodnett and his car owner John Trone as his guest panelists. The forum will be held on Friday, August 10, at 3 p.m. in the non-profit museum’s second floor conference center.

Moderator David Mills of Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia’s Premier Speedway will lead the discussion of “International Sprint Car Racing” at his Knoxville Nationals Fan Fair forum on Thursday, August 9, at 11 a.m. with 2011 New Zealand Sprint Car champion Jonathan Allard, up-and-coming world traveler Kyle Larson and 2002-2003 World Series Sprintcars (WSS) champion Daryn Pittman.

Bill Wright of Knoxville Raceway, also known as ‘Bill W.’, will again moderate this year’s “Meet the Knoxville Regulars” forum at the seventh annual Knoxville Nationals Fan Fair.

Following three days of Knoxville Nationals Fan Fair forums in the theater on the second floor of the National Sprint Car Museum, the 42-seat venue will come alive on Saturday, August 11, with several exciting sprint car racing films.

Openings for foursomes, pairs and singles remain for the National Sprint Car Museum-benefit United Trailers Golf Classic in memory of Kevin Gobrecht, to be held at Pella’s Bos Landen Golf Club on Friday, August 10, at 8:30 a.m. Entry fee is $80 per person and includes cart, range balls and lunch. This best-shot tournament is held annually during the Knoxville Nationals sprint car races.

Larry Boos of Tony Stewart’s Eldora Speedway will again moderate this year’s “Sprint Car Racing: State of the Union” forum at the seventh annual Knoxville Nationals Fan Fair.

For the first time ever, the National Sprint Car Museum’s second-, third- and fourth-floor viewing areas overlooking the half-mile Knoxville Raceway dirt track are officially “sold out” for the Knoxville National Sprint Car Championships, August 8-11.

Just as it houses the limestone Charles R. Condra Memorial Trophy honoring the champions of the Indiana Sprint Week,

“Danny Lasoski: The Path to 100 Wins at Knoxville” is the lead forum this year in the seventh annual Knoxville Nationals Fan Fair.
