Donny Schatz scored a pair of sweeps on Friday night with the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series at River Cities Speedway in his home state of North Dakota. First, he completed a clean sweep of the night, setting fast time, winning a heat race, winning the dash and winning the 40-lap A-Feature. Second, he completed a sweep of both legs of the Gerdau Northern Tour at River Cities Speedway for 2016.

Aaron Ott wired the field from the pole for the 410 sprint car feature win at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, holding off Danny Dietrich for the victory in a fast paced 25-lap main event.

In the 358 sprint main it was Matt Campbell claiming his first feature win of the season and third overall of his career at the oval.

Tornado and Storm Postpones Wednesday Event at Kokomo

Thunderstorms that generated multiple tornadoes forced USAC and Kokomo Speedway officials to postpone Wednesday night’s non-wing sprint car program. Heavy storms forced officials to clear the stands during the Bryan Clauson tribute during the day. The tribute was completed once the storm had cleared. Kokomo officials announced the rain date for the event is scheduled for September 2nd.
