Defending Honda USAC Western Midget Champion Ronnie Gardner leads the series to this Thursday night’s “Gold Cup” race at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif. He has a 40-point lead over Trey Marcham in the current standings after last week’s races at Calistoga Calif.
This Saturday night’s USAC DMA Midget race at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vt. will be another test for series point leader Adam Pierson, who will try to score his 10th consecutive “podium” finish this season. He has augmented his seven feature wins with two seconds!
