Knoxville Raceway New Muffler Rule In Effect Opening Night April 21st
Saturday, April 21st is opening night at the Knoxville Raceway and as previously announced the only approved muffler is the Schoenfeld 14272735-78. This is the same muffler that was announced last November.

Toby Kruse New Promoter at Knoxville
The Marion County Fair Association Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Toby Kruse has been hired as General Manager and Promoter of the Knoxville Raceway and Marion County Fair. Kruse’s selection to replace current Promoter Ralph Capitani was unanimously approved by the Marion County Fair Board.

Kevin Swindell, Tim Shaffer and Lucas Wolfe Triumphant Friday at Knoxville!
It was another great night of racing at the Knoxville Raceway as the Friday night of the 51st Annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals produced three different winners. Kevin Swindell won the Friday night A main, claiming his third victory of the year at Knoxville. Tim Shaffer topped a wild 25-lap inaugural “Race of Champions”, and Lucas Wolfe claimed the Premiere Chevy Dealers World Challenge to claim his first career Knoxville victory. However, it may have been Shane Stewart who stole the show in a pair of main events with charges from the rear.

Mark Dobmeier won a battle with Jason Meyers to take night #2 of the 51st Annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals on Thursday night. The Grand Forks, North Dakota driver piloted the Lunstra/Dobmeier #13 machine by Meyers on lap 14 and never looked back for his eighth career win at the famous half-mile.

Swindell Wins Duel with Heskin To Claim Night #1 of the Knoxville Nationals!
The “Experienced Veteran” vs. the “Young Gun” was on display on the opening night of the 51st Annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals Wednesday. Sammy Swindell was running the Nationals before Davey Heskin was born, but the two put on a show that fans will remember for some time. In the end, it was Swindell in Victory Lane, grabbing win #47 at the famous half-mile. Swindell also emerged as the high-point getter with 490 points, and assured the Germantown, Tennessee driver of a starting spot close to the front for Saturday night’s championship event.

Brady Bacon Sweeps USAC Knoxville Non-wing Nationals!
With another great crowd on hand, Brady Bacon was without peer at the third running of the USAC Knoxville Non-wing Nationals on Sunday night at the Knoxville Raceway. Bacon posted quick-time, won his heat and the feature. It was the Broken Arrow, Oklahoma driver’s first win at a track in which he has played the bridesmaid on a few occasions. It came aboard a XXX Chassis with Wesmar power and was worth $5,000. Chad Huston was also a first-time winner, as he picked up the companion 305 sprint car main event win.
