PEACE TREE BREWING COMPANY BECOMES FIRST OFFICIAL VENDOR FOR “RED, WHEAT & BLEU” RECEPTION

Knoxville’s own Peace Tree Brewing Company has become the first business to commit to participating in the inaugural “Red, Wheat & Bleu” wine-, beer- and cheese-tasting special reception to be held on Wednesday, August 11, at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum during the 50th annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals presented by Lucas Oil. The reception is open to museum visitors on the first day of the four-day sprint car national championships, from 12:30 until 3:30 p.m., and it will be held on the museum’s air-conditioned second floor. VENDORS RESPONDING TO CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR AT THE HALL OF FAME

With a little over two weeks remaining before the National Sprint Car Museum in Knoxville hosts its inaugural Christmas Craft Fair on Friday-Saturday-Sunday, November 27-28-29, vendor booth space applications are being received on a daily basis. To date, many vendors from across central Iowa have signed up to showcase their handmade crafts to the public and demonstrate some of their crafting techniques. PERRIS TO HOST NATIONAL SPRINT CAR MUSEUM SILENT AUCTION

The Perris Auto Speedway in Lake Perris, California, will host the non-profit National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum at this weekend’s Budweiser Oval Nationals. Besides hosting the museum foundation’s quarterly board of directors meeting, the dirt track will host a museum-benefit silent auction of unique sprint car racing memorabilia and a display featuring the late Billy Wilkerson’s Don Brown-built, Ernie Duncan-owned 1967 California Racing Association (CRA) championship-winning sprint car. The beautiful black number 2 sprint car and the auction items will be found under the grandstands on all three nights, November 5-6-7.
